I’m so pleased to have won the 2019 Princess Margaret of the Isle’s Memorial Prize for Senior Clarsach that took place in Armadale Castle, Skye in June 2019. A big thank you to the Clan MacDonald for setting up and sponsoring this very important competition. You can view my recital here.
I have recently worked on arranging, publishing and recording three of Patrick Hawes’ works. I have arranged the music for Quanta Qualia, Reflexionem and Arioso, they are available from 80 Days Publishing.
Arioso – Patrick Hawes
Arioso by Patrick Hawes is the third piece from Towards the Light, a collection of pieces for piano written during Patrick’s time as Composer in Residence for Classic FM. Inspired by Patrick’s love of the Norfolk landscape in which he lives and his Christian faith, it has a soothing, lyrical quality to it. I love its gentle, forward-moving melody and arranged it for the lever harp.

Microjazz for Lever Harp:
Microjazz is the world-famous series of books by composer Christopher Norton. Based on classical technique but using popular contemporary styles such as jazz, blues, rock ‘n’ roll and funk, Microjazz pieces are now being arranged for both lever and pedal harp, and I’m very pleased to be involved with selecting and editing pieces for the lever harp.
